Sri Lanka
My
Father was awarded a Fullbright Scholarship to spend a year at
the University of Kalania
in Colombo. During this time, I was going through my own experience
abroad teaching English in Seoul,
South Korea.
He
would constantly write me about trips to small fishing villages
and dealing with all sorts of issues that one would never expect
and I can remember cultivating a fascination with the place.
When
I was finished with my teaching stint in Seoul, he was kind enough
to fund a trip to visit him in Sri Lanka for two weeks, during
which time I was fortunate enough to see a good part of the country.
